One to Watch – Hamilton
Tara Madgwick - Monday, 19 March 2012

The Lloyd Williams dispersals invariably throw up winners for other trainers, one of them saluting at Hamilton on Monday to provide an interesting pedigree update for a yearling heading to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Having his third race start, four year-old Galileo (IRE) gelding Larch took the 1200 metre maiden by a length for the Sean Mott stable improving on two second placings at his previous outings.

A $75,000 purchase from the Luskin Park draft at the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Larch was on-sold by the Williams team last year and becomes the second winner in less than a week for top producer Forest Native (USA).

A stakes-placed daughter of Forest Wildcat, Forest Native  is the dam of four foals to race all winners her best being Group II winner Foxwedge (pictured www.stevehart.com.au), who is set to run this Friday night in the Group I MVRC William Reid Stakes.

Forest Native's current two year-old, a Fastnet Rock filly called She's a Fox, opened her winning account with a stylish debut victory at Canterbury last Friday night.

Luskin Park will offer the current yearling from Forest Native, a full sister to Foxwedge and She's a Fox at the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale as Lot 164.
