Leading young sire Stratum featured at Sha Tin on Sunday when his three year-old son Thanksgiving scored his second victory and two year-old gelding Let Me Too finished a good second in the griffin event.
The John Moore trained gelding was well ridden by Tim Clark from barrier one and surged clear to win the 1600 metre event by nearly two lengths to make it back to back wins at the track.
A $115,000 purchase for George Moore Bloodstock from the Manx Park draft at the 2010 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Thanksgiving is the first foal of Benita, a half-sister by Octagonal to stakes-winner Victory Dash from the family of Champion 2YO Tierce.
In the first race, Let Me Too, which was also trained by John Moore and ridden by Tim Clark, turned in an encouraging debut when finishing second beaten half a length in the griffin event over 1000 metres.
Let Me Too was a $200,000 purchase from the Widden draft at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and is by Stratum (pictured) from Pleasant Note, a half-sister by Brocco (USA) to Group I winner Serious Speed.
