He’s Happy and Doing Well
Tara Madgwick - Wednesday, 15 August 2012

After losing his famous mum Typhoon Tracy in tragic circumstances just moments after he was born on Monday morning, the surviving colt might have been expected to be doing it tough, but he's shown all the courage that made his mother a champion and made the best of bad situation with Vinery Stud sending us some pictures of Australia's most famous foal.

"From his point of view it was a textbook foaling, so he doesn't really know any different and he's taken to his nanny, so is happy as can be," said Conor Phelan of Vinery Stud.

"He's been 100% from the moment he was born so he should just go ahead in leaps and bounds now and as terrible as it was to lose Tracy, at least we have him belting around the paddock now."

A son of champion sire Street Cry (IRE), the colt is the first and only foal of Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy, who retired from racing last year as the winner of 11 races and $2.4 million.
