Top-class sprinter Tiger Tees lowered the boom on his stablemate Rain Affair with a convincing victory in Saturday's Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1100m) at Warwick Farm.
The 5yo son of Dubawi is building a tremendous winning record, which now stands at nine with 3 seconds from 13 starts with earnings of $388,000.
Trainer Joe Pride was thrilled with the victory although he
was baffled by the run of the odds-on favourite Rain Affair who led them up
before giving in meekly to finish fourth, four and a half lengths behind his
stablemate (photo Steve Hart).
Pride said he had pencilled in the Group 2 Salinger Stakes as the long term goal for Tiger Tees although he may revaluate that now.
A half-brother to 5-time Listed stakes-winner Our Lukas (Generous) and the current undefeated Singapore superstar Super Easy (Darci Brahma) ,Tiger Tees is the fifth foal of the Gold Brose mare Parfore a sister to the dam of Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes (G1) winner Il Quello Veloce(Captain Rio).
Parfore has a 2yo brother to Tiger Tees from the third and final Australian crop of Dubawi. She was sent to New Zealand last year to be covered by Zabeel.
