The
Australian Turf Club has partnered with TVN and 2GB to deliver a new spring
carnival promotion, the aptly named "Where She Goes, You Go".
The promotion centres on the Spring Campaign of star Sydney mare More
Joyous, where one lucky racegoer will be whisked around the country to witness
every race that More Joyous runs this Spring, receiving premium hospitality,
ticketing, airfares and accommodation as part of the prize package.
Launched at Rosehill Gardens today by More Joyous' trainer, Gai Waterhouse, the
winner will be drawn at Rosehill Gardens on 29 September – THE ICONIC Fashion
Day at Rosehill Gardens. More Joyous is aimed at The Golden Pendant, in what is
expected to be her last Sydney run before trekking to Melbourne.
Waterhouse was thrilled that the ATC chose to support a champion from her stables
and believes that More Joyous will deliver thrilling performances over spring.
"She is Sydney's super horse and I know she'll do us proud in Melbourne, so the
winner of this competition will have a lot of fun with us over the next couple
of months," Ms Waterhouse said.
ATC Chief Executive Officer Darren Pearce said this promotion complemented the
other major promotions rolled out by the ATC over Spring Carnival.
"We are continually looking at ways to provide thrilling and real racing
experiences for fans and this promotion hits the mark," Mr Pearce said. "More
Joyous is a Sydney champion and has huge public support."
The anticipated racing program of More Joyous after 29 September is:
The 1600m Toorak Handicap at Caulfield on 13 October
The 2040m Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on 27 October
Any additional races or replacement races she competes in up to 10 November
will also be
included in the prize.
Entry forms will be available from 16 September at theraces.com.au and in the
29 September editions of Winning Post and Best Bets. The winner must be on
course at Rosehill Gardens on 29 September to claim the prize. For more information: www.theraces.com.au.
