At
age 18, this million dollar earner is that rare gem, the top class racemare that
proves even better at stud and is seen here with her latest foal born at Kitchwin
Hills this spring.
The 'rare gem' is Success Express (USA) mare Staging, who won 10 races and $1.1
million in prizemoney with some four Group II wins on the resume as well as a further
four Group I placings.
At stud, Staging has left five foals to race all winners led by Group I winners
Duporth and Excites, as well as Group II winner Tickets, the high profile trio
now all at stud in the Hunter Valley.
Another of her daughters in Succeeding has also made her mark as the dam of
Champion South African Two Year Old and dual Group I winner Delago Deluxe.
Is it any wonder the team at Kitchwin Hills were delighted by the arrival of
her latest foal, a filly by champion sire More Than Ready (USA), who is
pictured here with Mum and below at play in the paddock.
