Camelot Operated on for Colic
Tara Madgwick - Friday, 12 October 2012

Coolmore's English Derby winner Camelot finished out of the money in the Group I Arc de Triomphe on Sunday and has now suffered a bout of colic.

A tweet from Coolmore read: "Triple Classic winner Camelot was admitted to Fethard Veterinary Hospital this evening and underwent exploratory colic surgery. Obviously it's still very early days but a further bulletin will be released in the morning."

The three year-old son of Montjeu has been a star performer this season for Aidan O'Brien winning the Group I English 2,000 Guineas, English and Irish Derbies before a gallant second in the English St Leger.
