God's Own 4 year old mare BIG IDEA, at her fifth start today at Ascot Park in New Zealand, absolutely brained them in the McCallums Drycleaning Maiden over 1360m, winning by 7 lengths for trainer M R Pitman and jockey Chris Johnson.
BIG IDEA is from the Gr 2 winning Desert Sun mare MORALEE (NZ) and was bred by Eliza Park's Lee Fleming Thoroughbreds where God's Own stands jointly with Yallambee Stud.
' The God's Owns are winning everywhere lately and we always felt his progeny would be better with time. They were just too impressive types as yearlings not to develop into good racehorses ', says Yallambee Stud's Peter Woodard.
With the Gr 1 Caulfield Guineas on tomorrow it brings back memories of God's Own's victory, one of the most amazing victories in the history of the classic race.
