Coolmore
have announced through their Facebook page that champion mare Goldikova has produced
her first foal, a Galileo colt born at their Irish headquarters last Sunday.
A homebred for Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, Goldikova is the only three-time
Breeders' Cup winner and retired to stud last year as the winner of 17 of her
27 starts, 14 of those wins at Group I level.
The eight year-old daughter of Anabaa has been booked back to visit champion
sire Galileo again.
That Galileo x Anabaa cross has been tried several times to date with four
winners from five runners produced on the cross including triple Group I winner
Lush Lashes.
