Another Super One Filly Salutes for Prime

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 6

Joe O’Neill of Prime Thoroughbreds is fast becoming a fan of Newgate Farm’s young sire Super One having enjoyed success at Moonee Valley last Saturday with Miss Divine Em and again at Kembla on Thursday with progressive filly Embeller.

Prepared by John Thompson, Embeller was held in such high regard she contested the Group II ATC Magic Night Stakes at just her second start.

Spelled after that unplaced outing, she resumed with a troubled eighth when she blundered at the start and failed to handle heavy going at Canterbury, but rebounded to break the ice in style at Kembla.

Embeller appreciated firmer footing to score a half neck win for Rachel King in the 1000 metre maiden.

She has a weanling filly to follow by Winning Rupert and is in foal to Deep Field.

Embeller is the tenth first crop winner for I Am Invincible’s brilliant son Super One, who stands this spring at Newgate at a fee of $11,000.
