Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 13

A four year-old daughter of Brazen Beau, the Colin Little trained Sublime Diva clearly takes after her mother in terms of distance aptitude, breaking her maiden with a tough staying win over 2219m.

Placed at four of her previous five starts, Sublime Diva scored by two lengths as a hot favourite to become the sixth winner from eight to race out of her famous mum Makybe Diva.

“She will go another lap,” said her trainer Colin Little.

“She can stay all day, she’s unbelievably tough. You’d like a stable full of horses with her constitution.

A homebred for Makybe that was never offered for sale, Sublime Diva is a half-sister to stakes-placed Divanation and to the dam of Group II placed Touch of Mink.

Makybe Diva has an unnamed two year-old filly by Written Tycoon that made $500,000 at Magic Millions this year and produced a filly by More Than Ready (USA) last spring.
