five-furlong maiden by two and a half lengths from more-experience rivals.
The Kilcarn Stud-bred filly holds an entry in the Group II Lowther Stakes at
York and Barron told the Racing Post: "Lady Clair has worked well at home,
she´s quick, but they've got to come here and do it, and she´s done that now.
She´s a nice filly."
Lady Clair is the first winner for Cape Cross mare Queen of Carthage, a
daughter of Group I winner Satwa Queen.
She becomes the ninth winner for Canford Cliffs, whose progeny are headed by Group
