Eighth NH Winner for Pride Of Dubai

Mark Smith - Friday September 25

Coolmore Stud’s Champion First Season Sire, Pride Of Dubai, had his eighth winner from his first northern hemisphere crop overnight with the Jim Bolger homebred Flying Visit but those that took the odds-on headed straight to the bar.

Placed in three of his previous five starts, Flying Visit looked set for a stress-free romp under Kevin Manning in a one-mile maiden at Listowel when he made a beeline to the outside fence.

ing was able to balance the headstrong colt up to defeat the Mehmos colt Dha Leath by six lengths on a heavy track.

“It was uncharacteristic of him and he must have just put his eye on something. Once he got over to the rail on the stands’ side he was fine,” stable representative Una Manning told Irishracing.com.

“The boss said he’ll probably give him a break now as he’s had a few quick runs and see where he goes from there.

“It’s great that we are racing today and well done to everyone who worked hard to get the meeting on.”
