One to Watch – Werribee

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 29
As a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Champion 3YO Filly Serenade Rose, this debut winner at Werribee on Tuesday looks to have been very well bought from the 2015 NZB Premier Yearling Sale by James Bester Bloodstock.

Crystal Fountain as a yearlingPrepared by Lee and Anthony Freedman, three year-old Stravinsky (USA) filly Crystal Fountain kicked off her career with a long neck win in the 1100 metre maiden despite being easy in the market.

A flashy bay with a white blaze she travelled strongly for Daniel Moor in fifth place and found the line strongly to score a determined victory.

A $180,000 purchase from the Cambridge Stud draft, she runs for Morning Rise Stud's Robert McLure, James Bester and Coolmore, whose navy colours she carried.

Crystal Fountain is the first winner for Pride of Tralee, a half-sister by Redoute's Choice to triple Group I winner Serenade Rose, who was also trained by Lee Freedman.

Cambridge Stud will offer the current yearling from Pride of Tralee, a filly by Tavistock at the 2017 NZB Premier Yearling Sale as Lot 350.
