Well prepared by Joe Pride, Ballistic Lover won her first run back from a spell at Doomben last month and freshened up again for this assignment she was all business from the jump.

Taken straight to the front by Regan Bayliss, she dominated her rivals to win by two and a half lengths over the strong finishing Shooting to Win filly Majestic Shot.

Ballistic Lover was an $80,000 Magic Millions Book Two purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for Tricolours Racing & Syndications Pty Ltd and has an impressive record with five wins and three placings from 11 starts yielding over $284,000 in prizemoney.

Bred by the Kolivos family’s Lightning Thoroughbreds, Ballistic Lover was raised at Newgate and is the first winner for She’s a Sweetheart, a half-sister by Show a Heart to Group II winner Lean Mean Machine.
