Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 22

Coolmore’s champion sire Pierro cracked his century of winners on Thursday with a commanding win for two year-old gelding Blazerro at Cranbourne sparking interest in his entries for the 2022 Golden Slipper, which come from an outstanding crop of rising two year-olds.

Blazerro was a $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for Bennett Racing/McEvoy Mitchell Racing.

He is a full brother to Sydney metro winner Fiery Red and is the fourth winner from Blazing Snitzel, a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Excuse My French from the family of Group I winner Julinsky Prince and this season’s Group III winner Nudge.
