I Am Invincible Mare Crowned SATB Horse of the Year

Star sprinting mare Viddora was crowned the 2017 Goldners Transport Horse of the Year at the annual South Australian Thoroughbred Breeders awards in Adelaide on Saturday night.

 

The mare, bred by the Hodgson family's Riva Ridge Stud, beat out a quality line up of 12 finalists to be awarded the highest honour of the SA breeding industry.

 

Viddora - MMThe award was decided on performances during the 2016-17 racing season in which Viddora was a group winner and Group One placed during the Adelaide Carnival.

 

Since the end of the season the star mare has won the Group One Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot in Perth and the $1 million Magic Millions Snippets on the Gold Coast.

 

Trainer Lloyd Kennewell purchased Viddora from the Riva Ridge Stud draft at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale for $40,000.

 

Former SATB President Graham Ingerson was honoured for his many years of dedication to the SA breeding industry by being presented with the Matrice Award.

 

Cornerstone Stud went home on the night with three major awards including the Leading South Australian Stallion gong with Good Journey.
