Triple Group winner Coeur Volante to sell on Inglis Digital

Media Release - Friday November 7

The three-time Group winner Coeur Volante (Proisir) will be offered in a special Inglis Digital Spring Boutique Sale next week.

The hugely talented mare won three of her first four starts including twice in black type races, the G3 Scarborough Stakes and G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude.

In the latter contest she carried a 2kg penalty and jumped from the widest gate but still pulverised a smart field over 1400m at Caulfield.

Her most recent win came in the G3 Mannerism Stakes over the same course and distance earlier this year where she demolished a field that included Quintessa, Grinzinger Belle and Semana by four lengths.

The 5YO is lightly raced, having just 16 career starts to her name for four victories.

She is being offered as a racing and breeding prospect.

Coeur Volante  has raced exclusively at Stakes level – including in three G1s – in her past 14 starts.

Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Manager James Price described Coeur Volante as an “incredibly exciting race mare”.

“During the spring of her 3YO season, she was electric and while the mile at Caulfield didn’t play to her strengths, it was only Joliestar, Kimochi and Skybird that finished in front of her when she was fourth in the G1 Thousand Guineas,’’ Price said.

“She has tremendous tactical speed and a potent turn of foot, as we saw when she won the G3 Mannerism earlier in the year.

“I don’t think there is any doubt that she has G1 ability, so whether she is bred this season or races on for the autumn and is bred next year, she is a very, very appealing prospect.’’

The Spring Boutique Sale catalogue will be live on the Inglis Digital website from 4pm today.

Bidding will open at 9am Monday and close from 4pm (AEDT) Wednesday, November 12.
