Aquis Parade Draws a Big Crowd

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 17
The fastest growing bloodstock empire in Australia, Aquis Farm opened the gates last Sunday at their Canungra property with hundreds of visitors enjoying brilliant sunshine and the warm hospitality of the Fung family.

Aquis Queensland is home to seven stallions that paraded following a welcome speech from Tony Fung with Bruce Clark hosting the commentary team as the stallions strutted their stuff.

Fresh off the plane from Ireland, Group I sire Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) is back in town for his second season at Aquis and looked in prime condition.

New additions to the roster in Husson (Arg), Furnaces and Sweet Orange (USA) impressed visitors, while Domesday was a crowd pleaser as the sire of this year's runaway Group I BRC Queensland Derby hero Ruthven.

Snitzel's brilliant Group II winning son Spill the Beans was the busiest first season sire in Australia last spring covering 202 mares and has let down into a magnificent looking stallion.

His sire Snitzel has gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months claiming the title of Champion Australian Sire for 2016/2017 with Spill the Beans a worthy successor to bring his precocious speed to Queensland.

Don't miss the Aquis stallion parades in the Hunter Valley next week! The Aquis Farm focus now switches to their Hunter Valley property in Murrurrundi with a series of parades featuring young guns Divine Prophet and Kiss and Make Up, as well as proven Group I sires Artie Schiller (USA), Al Maher and the in-form Dream Ahead (USA), who has had two European stakes-winners this week headed by Group I winning colt Al Wukair.
