First Season Sires – Scissor Kick and Real Impact

Tara Madgwick - Monday January 7

The next instalment of our first season sire series highlights two young Arrowfield stallions of very different backgrounds, the Redoute's Choice son Scissor Kick and Japanese bred Australian Group I winner Real Impact (Jpn).

Scissor Kick was an eye-catching yearling at Inglis EasterA well-marked handsome bay, Scissor Kick was a Group III winner on the track up to 1300 metres and his best effort at the elite level was a second in the Group I ATC Golden Rose to Hallowed Crown.

A $200,000 Inglis Easter yearling purchase for Paul Messara, Scissor Kick is a full brother to stakes-winning sire Sharkbite and comes from one of Juddmonte Farm's best families featuring outstanding European sire Dansili, his grand-dam being a half-sister to legendary blue hen Hasili.

One look at the pedigree page explains why Arrowfield were keen to give Scissor Kick his chance at stud success.
