Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 7
Eight juvenile heats at the Warwick Farm trials on Thursday produced some intriguing winners with the fastest heat interestingly won by a youngster that on pedigree might be seen as more of a middle distance horse.

So You Think is the sire of promising 2YO Just Thinkin'A three-quarter brother to Group III winners Stampede and Thinkin’ Big, two year-old So You Think colt Just Thinkin’ impressed us with his first trial last month and the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained youngster took another step forward here.

He began well for Tim Clark and raced in a pack of leaders, before surging to the line to win his 804 metre heat by a neck in 47.97 seconds.

Retained to race by Dodmark Thoroughbreds, Just Thinkin’ is the fourth foal from Group I placed Tale of the Cat (USA) mare Nothin’ Leica Cat and appears to have plenty in common with his talented siblings, who are by So You Think’s sire High Chaparral (IRE).
