Stud Fee Set for Encryption

Media Release - Wednesday June 12
Encryption has arrived on the Darling Downs ready to commence his stud career.

After a strong performance in the Group I Stradbroke Handicap last Saturday, Encryption retires to stud sound and has everything breeders are searching for; pedigree, physicality and a performance to match Winner of the Group III Black Opal Stakes at two, Group II Danehill Stakes at three and runner up in the Group I Oakleigh Plate, Encryption retires an earner of $743,500.

BY A CHAMPION, OUT OF A CHAMPION

EncryptionArguably the most regally bred horse to stand in Queensland, Encryption is by Champion sire LONHRO and is the first foal out of the 4 x Group 1 winner and Champion 3YO FillyGUELPH (Exceed and Excel). The family has also produced the Golden Slipper winners CANNY LAD and SEPOY.

A Group 3 winning 2YO and Flemington Group 2 Danehill Stakes 1200m winner as a 3YO, Encryption also finished second in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate beaten under a length by BOOKER.

Encryption was black type placed as an early pre-Christmas 2YO, with placings in the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes and Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate. As a model of consistency he then finished in the first four at 10 of his 19 starts, all at Stakes and Group level. He also finished 5th in both the Group I Blue Diamond Stakes and Group I Coolmore Stud Stakes.

His precociousness, toughness and impressive turn of foot correlate to Spirit of Booms own racing pattern and give Encryption the exciting credentials to succeed at stud.

Encryption's 2019 Stud fee is set at$13,200 inc GST with a Free Return.
