2YO Colt Mohican Heights Tops London Sale

Held on the eve of Royal Ascot, the Goffs London Sale was conducted overnight in the picturesque grounds of Kensington Palace Gardens featuring 22 select lots, 10 of which were sold for £3,150,000.

Mohican Heights - image Goffs TwitterThe highest price of £520,000 was paid for Mohican Heights, a promising two year-old colt by Epsom Derby winner Australia.

He was an easy debut winner for Fozzy Stack at Leopardstown last month and was bought by David Simcock.

"We looked at the video of his debut, he's an interesting horse and bred to stay and I had a couple of clients who were interested so it's worked out," said Simcock after signing the docket. "The clients, who are already in the yard, are always on the lookout for a nice horse and he's certainly going to get middle distances so he fitted in well."

Mohican Heights holds an entry for Royal Ascot, but his new connections are yet to make a decision on whether he runs in the Chesham Stakes on Saturday.
