Satono Aladdin Foals Popular in Japan

Satono Aladdin’s youngsters were in strong demand during this week’s Japan Racing Horse Association’s buoyant Select Sale.

Satono Aladdin colt from Sea SprayA colt and three fillies by the Rich Hill Stud shuttle stallion were offered and averaged $612,500.  The top price paid was $847,000 for a colt offered by Shadai Farm out of Sea Spray.

The dam is by Heart’s Cry and is a half-sister to the Gr.1 French 1000 Guineas winner Torrestrella.  Northern Farm offered a daughter of Satono Aladdin and Bettolle and she made $726,000.

The foal’s dam is by Blu Air Force and was a Group Three winner in Italy.  Northern Farm also sold a filly out of Million Wishes for $454,000.

The dam is a daughter of Darshaan and is a half-sister to the Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Bago.  The last of the quartet by Satono Aladdin was a filly out of Original Spin and she realised $423,000.

Original Spin was a Group Three winner in North America and was Group One placed.

The Gr.1 Yasuda Kinen winner Satono Aladdin stands this season at Rich Hill Stud at $12,500 + GST.
