Second Winner for Bull Point

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 14

Kingstar Farm’s blue-blooded Fastnet Rock sire Bull Point posted his second winner with a smart debut victory for the Rod Northam trained filly Very Sharp at Scone on Tuesday.

Bull Point covered 103 mares last springSent off favourite in an all aged maiden, the two year-old found the front on the fence and kicked clear down the running before holding off all challengers to win the 900 metre scamper by a short half head.

It was a tidy effort for a baby taking on seasoned runners and there will be more wins in store for Very Sharp.

A $12,000 Inglis Scone purchase from the Hillside Farm draft for R and R Racing, Very Sharp will be eligible for the 2020 Inglis Scone Challenge, a race in which her trainer has a great record!

Very Sharp is the fourth winner from four foals to race from minor winning Shamardal (USA) mare Shamtastic.

She is the second winner, joining smart New Zealand trained winner Yourpoint, for Bull Point, who has had only four runners to date and is also the sire of stakes-placed Encountabull, a brave second in the $500,000 Inglis Nursery.

Bull Point covered his biggest book of 103 mares so far last spring at a fee of $7,700 and has three entries in the upcoming Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
