Another Debut Winner for Pride of Dubai

Tara Madgwick - Monday March 9

The leading Australian first crop sire by winners and earnings, Coolmore based Pride of Dubai added another smart debut winner to his tally when Thudson scored impressively at Ballarat on Monday.

Pride of Dubai added a seventh winner to his tally on Monday.Prepared by Peter and Paul Snowden, Thudson began quickly and stalked the leader before dashing away at the top of the straight to go on and win by a length for Dean Yendall.

An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase for Snowden Racing from the Glastonbury Farm draft, Thudson runs for Carl Holt.

Bred by Victorian based Hilldene Farm, Thudson is the first foal of Snitzel mare Thud a metropolitan winning grand-daughter of Group III winner Forest Express.

Thudson is the seventh winner from 18 runners for Pride of Dubai, who also has a further three place-getters, his list of notable runners featuring stakes-winner Tanker and stakes-placed Dubai Star and Bella Nipotina.

A dual Group I winning two year-old, Pride of Dubai comes from the same female family that has produced champion two year-old sires Invincible Spirit and Kodiac, so his burgeoning success should come as no surprise to anyone.

Pride of Dubai has three yearlings to be offered at the Adelaide Magic Millions this week and you can see them here.
