Because He’s Worth It

Tara Madgwick - Monday March 30

If there is one stallion whose progeny may to some extent withstand the current downturn when Inglis release their online Easter Yearling Sale on Sunday it will be this one.

Not a Single DoubtPensioned from stud duties by Arrowfield Stud earlier this year, Not a Single Doubt is a sire whose progeny stream is now finite with this current crop of yearlings to be followed by only two more crops and then that will be the end.

This son of Redoute’s Choice spent his first six seasons standing at a fee of $13,750 and then gradually commanded more respect and bigger fees with his current yearlings conceived at a fee of $88,000 and the two subsequent crops at $99,000 and $110,000.

These better pedigreed yearlings will ensure Not a Single Doubt goes out in a blaze of glory and follow on from the resounding success he has achieved to date and most particularly this season.

Not a Single Doubt is running fourth on the Australian General Sires List by earnings with his 77 winners of over $10million including six stakes-winners, but tellingly four of those stakes-winners are Group I winners – Farnan (2c Golden Slipper), Shout the Bar (3f Vinery Stud Stakes), Scales of Justice (7g Memsie Stakes) and Samadoubt (6g Winx Stakes).

That’s an impressive list and covers a broad spectrum, brilliant juvenile colt, classic filly and two weight-for- age sprinter miler old warriors.

Is it any wonder his 42 yearlings sold this year have averaged over $300,000!

After withdrawals there are still 17 of his stock in Inglis Easter and you can click on image below to see them in our Breednet Gallery format.
