Exciting young sire Saxon Warrior only had two entries for the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale and both sold for six figures with a colt from Livealifeoflove selling for $125,000 on Thursday and then a filly from Wickedness (USA) selling for $100,000 on Friday.
Consigned by Hopetoun Farm, the filly from well-bred War Front mare Wickedness was snapped up by James Bester Bloodstock.
“From the moment I saw him I liked him, the two Saxon Warriors at this sale have both sold well,” said James Bester.
“Saxon Warrior is one of the most exciting young sires in the world, by Deep Impact, he was a Classic winner and a Group I winner at two.
“This colt was a lovely individual. We bought him for a group that work at Coolmore in farm management, so that shows a lot of confidence in this horse and the stallion.”
Saxon Warrior returns to Australia this spring at a fee of $13,750.

A colt with a real international pedigree from imported stakes producer Livealifeoflove, he is a half-brother to US stakes-winner Srumdiddlyumptious and Group I placed Hamsa.
He was consigned by Coolmore and bought by Lacoste Bloodstock.
“He was a really nice horse, a lovely individual and a great mover,” said Coolmore’s Tom Moore.
“He’s typical of what we are seeing from the sire back at the farm.
“This colt will be re-offered next year as a yearling and hopefully there will be plenty of profit in him to come.”
