George Altomonte has enjoyed outstanding success as a breeder over many years and having bred and sold a Golden Slipper winning champion sire in Sebring it should come as no surprise that he has taken the decision to stand two of his homebred stallions this spring in Standout and Menari, who has a couple of very interesting runners this Saturday.

With his baldy face and flaxen mane, powerhouse chestnut colt Standout is an easy horse to spot in a race and he proved too good for the older sprinters when powering clear to win the Group II ATC Expressway Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

A full-brother to Golden Slipper winner Overreach and to Widden Stud’s young stallion Outreach, highly promising colt Standout kept his record at a perfect three for three when fighting off Cosmic Force in Saturday’s Listed Heritage Stakes at Rosehill Gardens.
Exceed and Excel Blueblood Goes Two for Two
With his baldy face and flaxen mane, powerhouse chestnut colt Standout is an easy horse to spot in a race and he zoomed home from near last to win a very competitive Benchmark 64 event for three year-olds at Randwick on Wednesday.
He might have been easy in the market, but the full brother to Golden Slipper winner Overreach won on debut with authority at Gosford on Tuesday.
