Pierro enjoyed a two state metro double on ANZAC Day with a pair of talented three year-old fillies saluting at Flemington and Randwick.

It was a day of staggering drama, global records and the most incredible bidding and theatre ever witnessed in a thoroughbred sales ring as the much anticipated daughter of Pierro and Winx set a world record price for a yearling filly at Riverside.

$10million for Winx First Foal

The burning question that has baffled Australian bloodstock experts and our entire racing and breeding industry for pretty much all of this year finally had an answer on Monday when the first foal of Winx stepped into the sale ring at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and the daughter of Pierro was later led out with a sale price of $10million lighting up the bid board.

Pierro posted a winning double at the metro meeting at Wyong on Wednesday with promising filly Pajanti making it back to back metro wins, while the Ingham family homebred filly Bright Red cast off maiden status.
