"He is my pick of the day," Kondo said. "He is very nice individual so I really wanted to buy him."

The bay is a brother to the colt that made ¥240 million last year.

Takaya Shimakawa went to ¥220,000,000 for a brother to Tosen Stardom out of Admire Kirameki (End Sweep).

"I think this is the beginning of new era", Teruya Yoshida, owner of Shadai Farm and vice chairman of JRHA said at a press conference.

"I am so happy to see foreign buyers are so active. They paid attention only on nice individuals by Deep Impact in the past, however, they are now interested in foals and yearlings by other stallions, such as Heart's Cry and Stay Gold."
