Mungrup Stud, which for decades has produced some of the finest thoroughbreds in Western Australia, will present 167 lots as part of the Mungrup Stud Complete Dispersal Online Sale.

The unreserved dispersal will feature 71 yearlings, 17 two-year-olds, two three-year-olds and 77 broodmares.

"It will be an emotional time for all connected with the farm," Mungrup Stud CEO Ann Williamson - Croucher said. "Mungrup has undergone incredible development over 40 years."

"A need for the partners to move on, in different directions, resulted in a decision to close Mungrup and part of that process will be a dispersal of stock which has provided so much success over many years."

"Over the years we have enjoyed a strong relationship with Magic Millions and we decided their new online platform would be the right place to enable people from near and far the chance to participate."

One of Australia's leading black type producing operations, Mungrup Stud has produced the winners of two Railway Stakes, four Karrakatta Plates, five Magic Millions WA 2YO Classics and six Western Australian Guineas.

"The Mungrup name is synonymous with success and for decades graduates from the farm have filled the winning stall at tracks around Australia and across Asia," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said.

"Resident sires Playing God and Oratorio have proved great successes at stud and now their first season sire I'm All the Talk is living up to his name with some outstanding early results."

"The Mungrup Stud Complete Dispersal Online Sale will provide prospective buyers with an incredible opportunity to buy into some of the country's top producing bloodlines."

The online catalogue including photos, videos and agent assessments will be available in mid-July. Bidding will open from 12pm (AWST) on 6 August and the countdown to the close of bidding will commence with Lot 1 from 12pm (AWST) on 11 August.
