COOLMORE STUD (AUSTRALIA)

1500000

Global Glamour (Star Witness) -  Produced a colt by Zoustar as her first foal last spring and is now in foal to Justify.

Nechita (Fastnet Rock) -  Was exported to Ireland straight after the sale and been a regular partner for Galileo at Coolmore. Her first foal, a Galileo colt called Harpo Marx won a race for Aidan O’Brien, but was subsequently sold at the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale last year for 60,000 guineas to Darby Racing/ De Burgh Equine. The four year-old is now back in Australia and has had four starts for Bjorn Baker.

Nechita also has two unraced Galileo fillies, Forbearance (3YO) and On Tiptoes (2YO) and a yearling filly by the champion sire.

Silent Sedition (War Chant (USA) – Remains in Australia at Arrowfield and had a Snitzel colt last year and is back in foal to him again.

Amanpour (Northern Meteor) – Her first foal, three year-old Snitzel filly Bleachers is unraced, then after missing she has left a yearling colt by I Am Invincible, a weanling filly by Redoute’s Choice and is now in foal to Exceed and Excel. The I Am Invincible colt was sold for $1million at Magic Millions this year to Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

Response (Charge Forward) -  Had produced two foals for previous owner including stakes-placed Alter Call and was sold in foal to Snitzel with the result of that mating being Golden Slipper winner Estijaab, who was sold at 2017 Inglis Easter for $1.7million.

Response was sold carrying Golden Slipper winner Estijaab.

Response is based at Arrowfield and has been covered by Snitzel in every season since then and there have been two named foals that have raced, Medic (placed, $350,000 yearling) and Snappy Reply (minor winner, $575,000  yearling), with a yearling colt and weanling filly to follow.

Quench the Thirst (Encosta de Lago) -  Has had five named foals, three have raced and two have won headed by stakes-winner Sangria, a $650,000 Inglis Easter yearling.

This season's Flemington takes-winner Sangria is from Quench the Thirst.

Her yearling filly by Snitzel made $330,000 at Inglis Easter this year and she has a Merchant Navy weanling filly and is in foal to Russian Revolution.

Precious Lorraine (Encostas de Lago) – Had two foals for previous owners that are both unraced and was sent to the UK after sale to be covered by Frankel. She returned to Australia and produced a colt from that mating, but unfortunately he died, however her next foal, a filly by Snitzel is stakes-winner Meuse, who made $500,000 at Inglis Easter.

Meuse is a stakes-winner this season in Adelaide.

She went back through the MM National Broodmare Sale in 2018 and was bought by Gerry Harvey for $650,000. She has since produced a yearling filly and weanling colt by I Am Invincible and is back in foal to him again.

Taste of Heaven (Encosta de Lago) – Exported to North America straight after the sale and has produced a foal every year for her new owners.

Her first foal made $525,000 at Keeneland November Foal Sale and her second made $625,000 at Keeneland September, while the third made $400,000 at Keeneland September last year. That first foal, Olympic Medal, was bought by Aquis and partners and she is now back in Australia.

Living Spirit (Hennessy (USA) – Has had seven named foals, six have raced and five have won with her best produce for Darley being Group III winner Seaside (Redoute’s Choice). She has not had a foal since 2015.

Gypsy Dancer (NZ) (Dance Floor( USA) -  Produced Golden Slipper winner and Champion 2YO Dance Hero as her first foal in 2001, well before the sale. Her weanling colt was also bought by Coolmore at this same sale and he topped the Magic Millions Yearling Sale in 2008  when selling to Patinack Farm for $2.2million.

Subsequent foals from Gypsy Dancer never showed anything like the ability of Dance Hero and her overall record reads 11 named foals, seven to race for five winners with Dance Hero the lone stakes performer. She was retired from stud duty in 2017.
