The Magic Millions National Yearling Sale will be held next Monday and Tuesday (August 3 and 4 ) at the Gold Coast and Hunter Valley nursery Valiant Stud will present a quality draft of eight featuring the progeny of proven favourites like So You Think and popular newcomers Shalaa (IRE) and Astern, not to mention an eye-catching grey colt by Reliable Man (GB).

Lot 1239 Colt Shalaa (IRE) x Lonoree, by Lonhro

By a young sire in Shalaa that already has three winners on the board in Europe and Group II place-getter Saeiqa. This colt is a half-brother to two metropolitan winners and his dam Lonoree is a daughter of Group I winner Euphoria and is a half-sister to the dam of $1.5million earning Group I winner Secret Agenda.

Lot 1313 Colt Starspangledbanner x Reeltop (USA), by Quality Road

A late November foal that has been given time and is a big strong colt with an international pedigree. Third foal of an unraced half-sister to Group I Hollywood Derby winner Seek Again and dam is a daughter of Group I winning Danehill mare Light Jig.

Lot 1321 Filly So You Think x Rovigo, by Choisir

By an outstanding Group I sire in So You Think and is a half-sister to two winners including Sydney metro winner Stravigo. Dam is a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Royal Babe and to the dams of Group III winners Heart Testa and Royal Tithe.

Lot 1354 Filly Astern x Talimena, by Lonhro

Third foal of a winning half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi and three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group I winner and sire Denman. This filly is a half-sister to a two time winner and is from the first crop of brilliant Group I winner Astern.

Lot 1435 Colt Reliable Man (GB) x Cross Rate (IRE), by Green Tune

Full brother to four time metro winner Greenspan and dam has done a terrific job with four winners from five to race. From the family of imported Group I ATC Epsom Handicap winner He’s Your Man and is one of a select few yearlings to be offered in Australia by high class New Zealand based sire Reliable Man.
