“It is with great disappointment, we announce Loving Gaby is set to miss the spring carnival. She has heat an inflammation to a near fore limb that has forced us to end her preparation prematurely.

“The decision has been made to retire her. It is deeply disappointing for her owners Phoenix Thoroughbreds, the team at home and her fans.

“She gave us all great memories and we look forward to seeing her progeny on the track.”

Loving Gaby was purchased for $500,000 by Phoenx Thoroughbreds from the Kia Ora Stud draft at Inglis Easter and retires with the record of four wins and six placings from 13 starts with prizemoney of $2.2million.

He highlight wins came in the Group I MVRC Manikato Stakes and William Reid Stakes.
