Aussie Bred Winners in South Africa

Aussie breds posted a winning double at Kenilworth in South Africa on Wednesday with exciting Press Statement filly Kitty Cat Chat going to two for two, while Pierro filly French Declaration saluted for the first time.

A homebred for Wayne Kieswetter’s  Ridgemont Stud, the Brett Crawford trained filly Kitty Cat Chat scored a three and a quarter length win over 1000m as favourite.

She is the first winner for Kiwi bred stakes-winner What's New Pussycat ( Kiwi Karma - Fast ‘n’ Famous), who was exported from Australia last year.
 



Trained by Andre Nel for Mrs Sabine Plattner, three year-old French Declaration scored by three-quarters of a length at her second start.



A $310,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the Coolmore draft, French Declaration is a half-sister to stakes-winner Superfly being the seventh winner from 11 foals to race from stakes-winning Hennessy (USA) mare Allez France.

French Declaration as a yearling.

The current yearling from Allez France is a Churchill (IRE) filly that made $45,000 for Fairhill Farm at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale earlier in the year.

Allez France has now been retired from stud duties and her final foal is a colt by Pride of Dubai.
