$250,000 Newgate Bonus Won by Roll the Dice and Jeremy Rogers

Media Release - Monday February 8

The massive $250,000 Newgate First Season Sire Bonus has gone off, having been won by Roll the Dice Racing and Jeremy Rogers for Profiteer’s scintillating victory in the 2021 Inglis Millennium.

Congratulations to Roll the Dice and Jeremy Rogers!

By Australia’s leading first season sire, Capitalist, Profiteer was a $165,000 yearling purchase out of the Newgate Inglis Classic Draft in 2020.  He is now the pre-post Golden Slipper favourite.

“It’s most fitting that our Golden Slipper winning stallion Capitalist has been the first sire that we’ve paid out this huge bonus on.  The Capitalist Syndicate is made up of nearly all his original owners as well as some of the leading stud farms in Australia and the syndicate couldn’t be more thrilled to be paying out this significant bonus,” said Newgate Managing Director Henry Field.

“It’s particularly pleasing to pay the bonus to the team at Roll the Dice Racing made up of Leigh Saville, Steve Travaglia, and Rob Norton as well as Jeremy Rogers who astutely purchased the colt from the Newgate Draft at last year’s Classic Sale.

"Roll the Dice Racing in a short period has proved to be one of the most professional and respected operators in the Australian syndication market.  They put their neck on the line last year, spending more money than they ever have on a yearling, and we are thrilled to be awarding them with this significant incentive designed to reward the buyers doing the hard work selecting the horses at the sales and in many cases taking a risk when buying yearlings on spec.”

In great news for yearling buyers, the ante has been upped in 2021 with Russian Revolution First Season Sire Bonus offering $500,000 to the purchaser of any of his progeny sold through a yearling sale that wins the 2022 Magic Millions 2YO Classic or 2022 Inglis Millennium.* Terms and conditions apply.
