One To Watch - Bendigo

Mark Smith - Sunday February 14

Newgate Farm's hot young stallion Capitalist chalked up his fourth first-crop winner in Australia, and fifth overall, when Redgum Racing's filly Tycoon Humma made an impressive career debut over a 1000m at Bendigo on Saturday.

Ridden by Jamie Mott for trainer John McArdle, Tycoon Humma finished full of running to defeat the Frosted (USA) colt Frostin' by two and a quarter lengths with the Zoustar colt Midwest a further two lengths back in third.

A $240,000 purchase by Redgum Racing out of the Flinders Park Stud draft at the 2020 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, Tycoon Humma is a half-sister to another Redgum Racing stalwart, the dual Listed stakes-winner, Humma Humma (Denman).
