Aquis Farm Investing in the Future of Queensland Racing

Media Release - Wednesday March 1
Aquis Farm is delighted by the recent announcement by Racing Queensland of the new $250,000 QTIS 2YO Jewel Race and welcomes the investment made into the future of the Queensland racing industry.

Aquis Farm CEO Justin Fung said "With this announcement, Racing Queensland and the Queensland Government, led in this instance by Queensland Minister for Racing Grace Grace, have demonstrated their commitment to the ongoing development and growth of the Queensland racing and breeding industry; and all breeders can continue to be confident that the good times are coming for our industry."

"We all know the story of the chicken and the egg and which comes first; investment is needed before returns can be achieved, so Racing Queensland and the Queensland Government need to be wholeheartedly commended for this exciting initiative."

"At Aquis Farm we believe there is an obligation on breeders to back-up the initiatives of Racing Queensland and the Queensland Government and invest in the growth of our industry. "

Accordingly, Aquis Farm is pleased to announce two exciting new Bonus Schemes that are a definitive demonstration of support for the Queensland racing and breeding industry.

Aquis Farm $250,000 Jewel QTIS Bonus for 2018 - If any horse sold through any Aquis Farm draft in 2017 wins the 2018 QTIS Jewel then Aquis Farm will pay a bonus to the buyer of that horse of another $250,000 making horses purchased from the Aquis Farm draft racing for Group One level prizemoney; and

Aquis Farm $100,000 Capricornia Bonus for 2018 - If any horse purchased from our Rockhampton 2017 draft wins the 2018 Capricornia Yearling Sales 2YO Classic then Aquis Farm will pay a bonus to the buyer of that horse of $100,000.

During the January 2017 Magic Millions Sale, Aquis Farm sold two horses that were QTIS qualified and those two horses will be eligible for the Aquis Farm Jewel QTIS Bonus, as well as QTIS horses purchased from our 2017 March and June yearling drafts.

Aquis Farm will be presenting 17 yearlings for sale at the upcoming Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale. All lots are eligible for the Aquis Farm Bonus. Click here to see their draft.

Aquis Farm will also be offering a draft at the Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale in June, and all QTIS lots in that draft will be eligible to win the Aquis Farm $250,000 Jewel QTIS Bonus.

This year will mark the first time that Aquis Farm is presenting a draft at the Capricornia Yearling Sale in Rockhampton, Queensland, with five horses for sale under the Aquis Farm banner. Run by the Central Queensland Thoroughbred Breeders Association (CQTBA), a total of 93 yearlings will be offered for sale on Sunday, April 2, at the Rockhampton Showgrounds. All five horses offered by Aquis Farm will be eligible for the Aquis Farm $100 000 Capricornia Bonus.

In every case the eligible party for the bonus will be the buyer registered in the sales record of the horse in question.
