First Justify Weanlings Start Inglis Australian Weanling Sale on a High

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 6

Lot 1 into the ring at Riverside Stables on Thursday for the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale was a cracking colt from the first crop of Coolmore’s undefeated US Triple Crown winner Justify (USA) and he commanded instant attention when selling for $280,000.

Triple Crown winner Justify has made a fast start at the Inglis Weanling Sale with his first two lots offered selling for $280,000 and $150,000.

Consigned by Fairhill Farm the handsome chestnut colt from stakes producer Tails Wins was knocked down to China Horse Club/Newgate Bloodstock.

The colt was bred by Reg Kemister and is a half-brother to Champion Singapore 2YO and Aussie Group III winner Super One and Group II placed sprinter Super Too.

Mr Kemister will be well pleased with the result as Tails Wins is back in foal to Justify again.

The next Justify into the ring also provided a great result with renowned pinhookers Fernrigg Farm moving to secure the Coolmore consigned colt from Took (USA) for $150,000.

A half-sister by Giant’s Causeway to Group III winner Intelligence Cross and stakes-winner Sweet Orange, Took visited another of the Coolmore young guns last spring in Calyx (GB).

The sale continues.
