Covid Forces Inglis Great Southern Date Change

Media Release - Tuesday June 1

Given the evolving Covid situation in Victoria, the Great Southern Sale will be pushed back three weeks to the new dates of Sunday July 4 and Monday July 5 at Oaklands.

“We are in regular contact with relevant authorities and will continue to be as the situation unfolds,’’ Inglis General Manager of Bloodstock Sales and Marketing Sebastian Hutch said.

“Our preference is to try and have as many buyers as possible safely attend the sale, in particular interstate visitors, while respecting the desire of vendors to offer their stock in as timely and convenient a fashion as possible.

“Our hope is that the steps taken by government will see the situation mitigated in the coming days/weeks, as has been the case with other outbreaks in recent months.”
