One to Watch – Dubbo

Tara Madgwick - Friday July 16

The most expensive yearling from the first crop of Divine Prophet was an obvious pick as ‘One to Watch’ on Friday and he’s also the latest success story for Inglis Digital!

Ostracised has been an eye-catching individual since day one, selling for $90,000 as an Inglis weanling when snapped up by renowned Kiwi pinhookers Lyndhurst Farm, who turned a handsome profit when they re-offered him at Magic Millions where he was bought by Ardross Bloodstock for $375,000.

Ostracised had three starts for Team Hawkes at Geelong and Ballarat through April and May placing on each occasion when heavily backed, but was seen as not measuring up to the standard required by his owners so was entered for the Inglis Digital June (Early) Online Sale.

Ostracised was bought by Kody Nestor through Inglis Digital for $80,000 - click to see his page.

Kody Nestor Racing secured the gelding for $80,000 and he stepped out at Dubbo in the 1000m maiden on Friday and won as he pleased.

Coming off the back  of a 16 length trial win at Dubbo on June 27, Ostracised was a hot favourite and looks capable of winning many more races with the lucrative Highway events appealing as a logical target for next season.

Bred by Rothwell Park, Ostracised is a half-brother to stakes-placed La Tigeresa and Medieval Miss being the fifth winner from good producing Elusive Quality (USA) mare Tellora.

He is the seventh first crop winner for Caulfield Guineas winner Divine Prophet, who stands at Aquis Queensland this spring at a fee of $16,500.

Divine Prophet is the sire of Ostracised.
