Farewell Nini

Mark Smith - Friday August 27

The thoroughbred world is mourning today following the news that the much-loved Nini Conallin has passed away.

An inspiration to many, Nini fought a very public battle with breast cancer for a decade.

Few horses brought Nini more joy than the champion Winx, while she shared in the ownership of the Pride of Dubai filly Forzanini who broke her maiden at Randwick in June.

The respect Nini commanded is judged by the outpouring of emotion on social media.

Thoughts are with Nini's husband Murray and family, and the tens of thousands of friends from around the world.
