Unbeaten Turk Warrior Goes Eight for Eight

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 15

The dominant juvenile in Tasmania last season, three year-old Outreach gelding Turk Warrior kept his undefeated record intact at Launceston on Wednesday evening when taking out the $50,000 Steve’s Liquor 3YO (1400m).

Trained by Glen Stevenson, Turk Warrior was a hot favourite and led all the way to win by three-quarters of a length.

Connections plan to step him up in trip for his next start in the Listed Tasmanian Guineas (1600m).

Turk Warrior has won eight from eight and banked just shy of $390,000 for his lucky owner.

Passed in at the Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Turk Warrior was bred and consigned by Grenville Stud.

He is the best of five winners from stakes-winner Ehor, who also won the Listed Elwick Stakes at two before going on to take the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes as well.

Grenville Stud will sold the yearling colt by Zululand from Ehor at the 2021 Tasmanian Magic Millions for $100,000 to Lindsay Park Racing.

Ehor has foaled this spring producing a filly by Stratosphere.

Outreach is a Premium stallion, click for more information.

Turk Warrior is the first stakes-winner for Widden Stud’s young Exceed and Excel stallion Outreach, who  stands at the modest fee of $4,400 this spring at their NSW headquarters..
