Four Way Tie for First Season Sires by Winners

Tara Madgwick - Monday December 27

Boxing Day races provided opportunity for some of our first season sires to put runs on the board and as we get to the end of 2021 we see four of our young first season stallions tied on three winners each – can you name them?

Three of the four sires with three winners all stand in Queensland with Aquis standing Invader and The Mission, Raheen Stud standing Heroic Valour and the only Hunter Valley candidate being Newgate Farm’s Russian Revolution.

A G1 winning 2YO by Choisir, The Mission is equal leader by winners and leads outright by earnings.

A Group I winning son of Choisir, The Mission posted his third winner when the Michael Costa trained filly Perfect Mission scored at the Gold Coast on Sunday beating Spieth juveniles Wild Botanica and Victory Moments.

Russian Revolution also had a winner on Sunday when his talented filly Russion Conquest saluted at Randwick and is now two for two with her next start to be the Magic Millions 2YO Classic for which she is quoted as an $8 second favourite by Ladbrokes behind Coolangatta.
