New appointment sees Arvin Chadee join Darley

Media Release - Tuesday February 1

Godolphin Australia are pleased to announce the appointment of Arvin Chadee to the role of nomination sales consultant with Darley stallions. Based at Kelvinside in the Hunter Valley, Arvin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role.

Arvin Chadee will be joining Darley at their hunter Valley base.

“Arvin’s diverse experience, skills and knowledge adds another dynamic to our team and we look forward to introducing him to clients through the yearling sales season,” said Darley stallions’ Head of Sales, Andy Makiv. “I’m confident his appointment will add value for the Darley stallions and to our clients.”

From London, England, amidst the tower blocks and high-rises, Arvin grew up a world away from horseracing, but his sheer enthusiasm and passion for the sport enabled him to pursue his ambition of being part of it.

To achieve this, he attended the National Horseracing College, where he developed his riding and horsemanship skills. After which he held the position of racing secretary for Karl Burke and then went on to ride track work for Michael Appleby and Dean Ivory.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management, he attained a position on the Godolphin Flying Start program, where he gained invaluable insight into the global Thoroughbred industry. He completed externships at Godolphin’s Stonerside Farm in the USA, Kick Collective in Australia and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board in Ireland. He also continued to ride trackwork for notable trainers such as Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Johnny Murtagh and Jessica Harrington.

He graduated from the Godolphin Flying Start in 2021 and had a stint with the Racing Post before commencing his new position with Godolphin Australia at the start of the new year.

“The Australian industry is thriving and leads the way in racing and breeding and I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Arvin.

He added: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s commitment and unwavering support for our sport is admirable. I am very proud to have the opportunity to represent Godolphin Australia and our exceptional and diverse roster of stallions at Darley with champions from both Hemispheres.”
