Capital Gain. Photo Michael McInallyThe Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale features 295 exciting prospects with buyers looking to secure their next Group One star at the best performing breeze up style auction in Australasia.

By the end of August already some 29 graduates of last year's catalogue have been winners for their connections headlined by the Group One JJ Atkins Stakes winner Capital Gain - a $50,000 purchase for connections.

With Jake Duffy in the saddle, Capital Gain breezed stylishly at Seymour on September 16, clocking 10.24 secs for his timed 200 metre gallop. About a month later he headed to the Gold Coast and was purchased for $50,000 by Butterworth and Pharout Syndications.

Other graduates of last year's sale include the recently exported excitement machine and multiple stakes winner Pardoe, quality Hong Kong youngster Amusing City, Kranji winners Mokastar, Whistling Win, Captain Jamie and First Choice.

"This is a two-year-old sale with proven stakes results for buyers," Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said.

"From the last five editions of the sale there have been 34 stakes performers emerge including Capital Gain - one of the most exciting three-year-olds in the country."

The 2015 sale produced a number of quality graduates around the world including Queensland star Dreams Aplenty – a group winner over the Brisbane Winter Carnival for Toowoomba trainer John Zielke.

Dreams Aplenty, who cost owner Evan Hartley just $26,000 has already earned about $275,000 thanks to wins including the Gunsynd Classic and Toowoomba Guineas.

Other previous stakes winning graduates from the auction include Sovereign Nation, Mission Gdragon, Cantbuybetter, Soldi Domani, Hooked, Black and White, Twickenham, Cradle Me, Fontelina, The Alfonso, Win Smoothly, Happy Galaxy, Picante and Pitstop.

Famously the former Melbourne and Australian Cup winner and hot young kiwi sire Shocking was sold at the Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale to Eales Racing. Former Singapore sensation and leading young WA sire Gingerbread Man is another success story.

"The success with graduates extends from Australia and New Zealand across Asia – through Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, China and South Korea – we are proud of the achievements of graduates of this very important and popular sale."

"Our vendors are now professional pin-hookers, buying quality yearlings and educating them very well to offer as two-year-olds that are in some cases just a month away from racing," Cox said.

"The Group One win of Capital Gain and the ongoing success of international graduates will give us a great platform for the continued growth of a sale which already boasts the biggest buying bench of any breeze up style auction in the region."

"With the bonus schemes available the attraction for quality fillies for the local market has real potential - with the strong demand for colts from Asia, there's an incredible opportunity for Australasians with fillies," Cox added.

The majority of two-year-olds to be offered are eligible for the Singapore Golden Horseshoe Series, while many others will race for extra being paid up for the Magic Millions Race Series and/or eligible for rich state based bonus schemes like BOBS, Super VOBIS and QTIS.

The 2017 Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale will be held over two days – October 10 and 11 at the famous Bundall sales complex on Queensland's holiday playground.

A final breeze up session will be held at the Gold Coast Turf Club on October 9 – all other clips are now online at www.magicmillions.com.aualong with the catalogue, times, photos and parade clips.
