Juvenile Trial Watch - Warwick Farm

Breednet - Friday April 22

A huge set of barrier trials at Warwick Farm on Friday morning where there were six trials for the two year-olds including some limbering up nicely for Queensland campaigns.

Emilia Romagna as a yearling

Emilia Romagna, by Pierro out of Gr.1 Galaxy winner Griante, looked good in a couple of trials last November before not firing in two runs, the first on a heavy track and the second in the Wyong Magic Millions behind Soaring Ambition.

She looks like she can stand up this time.

Soaring Ambition finished second in this trial and couldn’t have done it any easier.

Russian Revolution is having a great year with the two year-olds featuring seven winners headlined by the stakes winning fillies Revolutionary Miss and Rise Of The Masses.

Hard to imagine Matronymic isn’t  going to add to that tally based on this first viewing.

Bjorn Baker’s Written Tycoon colt O’Tycoon had looked good in a barrier trial win back in December before spelling and this was his first outing for the new campaign.

Pariah colt Swiss Exile campaigned in Queensland during his first campaign where he showed good promise with a debut third in the BJ McLachlan (Gr.3) followed by another third in the Listed Phelan Ready.

A return north for a crack at more black type looks realistic.

Results and replays are at Racing NSW.
