2022 National Online Broodmare Sale on Gavelhouse Plus

Media Release - Friday May 6

New Zealand Bloodstock’s premium online subsidiary Gavelhouse Plus is set to hold a high calibre broodmare sale this winter.

Gavelhouse Plus will host the dedicated online broodmare sale catalogue for the second year, with bidding set to close on Wednesday 20 July.

Vendors and owners wishing to put forward their mares in the 2022 National Online Broodmare Sale can enter their horses via Gavelhouse Plus from Monday 4 July, with entries closing Thursday 7 July and the catalogue launching on Friday 8 July.

NZB Sales Representative, Regan Donnison, is pleased to see a dedicated broodmare format offered to New Zealand breeders.

“Having fielded plenty of enquiries from vendors in recent weeks, it’s apparent the premium broodmare format has its place in the market and we are pleased to give breeders a viable option to sell their high-quality breeding prospects to a raft of buyers online,” Donnison said.

“The incredible race results of progeny out of kiwi-bred mares, particularly in Australia, continues to go from strength to strength so we anticipate strong interest in this digital sale.

“Should vendors have any enquiries regarding mares they would like to enter, please do not hesitate to reach out to either myself or Kane Jones.”

Run under gavelhouse.com terms and conditions, the entry fee for this online auction is NZ$400 plus GST, with a 5% sale commission rate on all lots sold and no pass in fee.
