Guineas Contenders Running Today

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 3

The release of entries for the Group I Caulfield Guineas and Thousand Guineas has added plenty of interest to competitive non metro maiden events which are often the first stepping off point for potential contenders, so let’s take a look at the runners today that hold entries.

The first race at Cranbourne is flush with contenders including the Anthony and Sam Freedman trained Snitzel colt Joyrider, an $800,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock. Second at his only previous start at Murray Bridge, he is the first foal of Savabeel stakes-winner Sewreel.
