The first race at Cranbourne is flush with contenders including the Anthony and Sam Freedman trained Snitzel colt Joyrider, an $800,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock. Second at his only previous start at Murray Bridge, he is the first foal of Savabeel stakes-winner Sewreel.

Joyrider is entered for the Caulfield Guineas and racing today.

Maher and Eustace have the race favourite Fast Witness, by Star Witness from a sister to Group II winner Rothesay, he was also second on debut and looks to break the ice.
